Role: Visual Designer
My role at Voyager spanned across the marketing and product teams. During my time there I was responsible for designing the Voyager Debit Mastercard® and card carrier.
Voyager aims to become a dominant player in the crypto fintech industry, with a goal of “replacing the bank” and becoming the people’s app of choice for their financial needs.
The debit card offering provides an opportunity to reach a larger population of potential customers who may not be ready to jump into crypto as an investor or trader but would engage with earning interest while having access to spend USDC.
I worked on 70+ unique designs with the design team before my card was selected as the winning design by C level management.

EARLY EXPLORATION
I worked on finalizing the winning design under the direction of the Creative Director.
Our primary brand color, a take on royal blue for its connection to the night sky and the cosmos beyond, is the dominant palette. The logo positioned on the top right of the card is a north star, guiding your crypto journey.
The hero “V” at the center of our card design demonstrates Voyager at the heart of the crypto action, surrounded by radiating geometric lines which echo the interconnectedness of our services to multiple markets makers and the blockchain network at large.
WINNING DEBIT CARD DESIGN
Alongside the Creative Director, I reviewed several rounds of print proofs and card finishes before choosing the final design.
This is it: the first moment where the digital crypto world meets the tangible physical world.
I designed the card carrier in collaboration with our marketing copywriter to ensure design and comms were succinct and digestible on the front and back. The line work used on the card is carried as a visual element throughout the carrier to tie them together.
